India’s position in Global Hunger Index shocking and disgraceful -Welfare Party

Welfare Party of India called: Modi government insensitive and uncaring towards its people pointing at its pathetic position in global hunger index.

National President of Welfare Party of India Dr SQR Ilyas pointed out that India ranks 94 among 107 countries in the Global Hunger Index 2020 much below its neighbouring Countries like Nepal (73), Pakistan (88), Bangladesh (75), Indonesia (70) and called it disgraceful.

He pointed out that India is also behind the under-developed countries such as Rwanda, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Liberia, Mozambique and Chad which is extremely worrying and unfortunate.
Dr Ilyas said Modi government has no plan to improve the quality of life of citizens and is busy in engaging the whole nation in the non-issues and in polarising the people for electoral benefits.
Dr Ilyas accused Modi government of undermining country’s honour and said in the 21st century India has the potential to become the global leader, if it concentrates and addresses the real issues including of malnutrition, mortality, ensure food security provide employment and affordable good quality healthcare and inclusive development to build a healthy vibrant India.
