Welfare Party of India seeks postponement of JEE-NEET 2020  exam due to covid pandemic and demands adequate arrangements in future for the same.

National President of Welfare Party of India Dr Ilyas supported the demand of thousands of students and parents for postponement of NEET and JEE examinations in view of the corona virus pandemic and said WPI will move the Supreme Court on the issue if necessary.

He questioned the government’s wisdom in holding of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) at a time when COVID-19 cases were rising and also with many test centres located in containment zones.

Dr Ilyas pointed out that National Testing Agency has told the Supreme Court that it is not possible to have overseas examination centres for NRI students as the Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 is conducted in paper book format and with such little time left for the NRI students to fly to India and take up exam.

Dr Ilyas demanded all political parties to stand with the students in their legitimate demand and seek for postponement of the exams and hold them with adequate arrangements in future.
